Is there more to this than the "X's" that I see? Watching them is a lot like watching paint dry.
Speaking of paint, earlier this summer we came home to find a large area of "brown" showing on our white ceiling paint in the kitchen. We had a roof leak around a vent pipe. It was a cheap repair, as far as house repairs go, under $200 to fix the roof. The hard part is the 4x8 piece of ceiling that has to come out and be replaced. There was NOT enough damage to claim on the insurance. The total for the roof and the inside work was less than the deductable.
You know what they say: "When it rains, it pours"!! LOL!! You just gotta laugh at it, it does no good to cry!!
