Have you discovered Red Box yet?

When we are sitting on the weekends and TV is not picking up anything worth watching we like to look at movies. Have you found out about Red Box rentals, yet?
http://redbox.com/
They are located all over the country in McDonalds or even some WalMart stores, grocery stores (like Kroger). The movie rental charge is only $1 per day and they have current movies and lots of choices. It is easy to use. You can even go online, select the movie you want and pay with a credit card then go in to the store to the red box, enter your code and pickup the movie. We have seen a few of these red boxes outside the store with 24 hour access.

I've never used them but see them all over. I believe it was originally a marketing ploy for McD's. They rent you a movie for a dollar, which doesn't make them much, but it's due back tomorrow at McD's. Let's see now, I have to make a trip back there to return this, where should I spend money and eat lunch today?

we actually love the red box system. you don't have to return it to the same red box that you rented it from which makes it great if you rent a movie, settle in to watch it and then get dispatched. about twice a month we get text messages on monday night for a free rental. always nice, even when movies are only $1. the thing that hooked us though was when we were with neices and nephews. a local mc d's had dinner and a movie night: purchase one regular value meal and one kid's meal and get a free movie code and they always have lots of kid's movies in stock.

Not all Kroger rental locations are red box rentals. I have one close to my home and it is a dollar a day but is run by Kroger.
