Report: Chinese hacked federal employee files The world is in a serious game of hacking and more hacking. The days of bombs, guns, tanks may be coming to a close for a 1st strike against another country. If one can shut down oil refineries, banks, and so on, why fire a rocket? If all communication grids were down for a week, that would be huge, imho.

Oh, look, a new Walmart........................

They would shut down the grid, etc, to make it easier to use the hardware. NO war could be won without boots on the ground.

They are also hoping, and likely assisting, in the move to disarm the US citizens. IF they ever did decide that they wanted to come in, they don't want to have to fight every inch of the way.

A bit paranoid are we?

Nope, speaking from experience.

I am not naive enough to believe that foreign powers don't meddle in our internal affairs for their benefit. It has been done through out history and will always be done. A good bit of the "rabble rousing" that took place in the '60's was done by the Soviets. We do the same thing in other countries, it's just part of the game.

From a purely military standpoint an armed US citizenry is a serious threat to anyone who may want to mount an attack. That is one of the primary reasons for having us armed, defense of the Nation. It was one of the reasons Japan did not mount a major attack on us after Pearl Harbor.

ALL potential enemies, and existing ones, like China, will seek to minimize any chance of resistance at any level. Just how it is.
