H/W teams so hard to find??

Why is it so hard to find a husband & wife team? I have been a fleet owner for nearly 3 years, running cargo & sprinters, however I just bought a 26' Straight truck & I am having a sleeper installed this week. I would like to find a good team, but for some reason I am having a hard time finding one... Anyone have some advice??

It is a tough time to recruit when people are moving, maybe after the summer slow down.

There are a lot of teams out there. Maybe your ad needs to explain why a change to your fleet would be beneficial. You never know what a teams hot button is or what day they might decide a change is in order.

All of our teams are running their doors off right now. Good teams are probably keeping quite busy at the moment, so I wouldn't imagine there are too many of them looking to jump ship.

 We are a Husband and wife team Planning on coming out Going to try the expediting route this time.........Your equipment and money is key to teams Most teams who have been driving OTR Know they are in demand..........They can pick and choose companies Because of all the new Hours and such.......you almost have to use teams and even we cant run like we use to.......Class B drivers for teams on straight trucks would be good for couples just starting out.......Not many teams will climb in a van for sure....

My thoughts on this one of them kills the other within 6 months of being in a truck together......:D

To the OP, there may be a question about your truck with a 26 foot box. How big of a sleeper? The majority of teams are going to be looking for the 96"s. Outside of that, the good ones will migrate to the reputable established fleet owners. We currently have a waiting list. Several months from now it could be totally different.

Maybe if you had more sleeper and less cargo space you might get more interest.

With a 26' box the most sleeper you are going to be able to have is 48", and most h/w teams won't be interested in such confined space. j/s.

I agree on the sleeper. Carren and I ran last year in a 96" and I wouldn't think of teaming in anything smaller.
