A while back there was a thread that talked about great guitar players. I don't know who this kid is but his technique is interesting and he produces some incredible sounds just with a guitar.

That is awesome. I couldn't see the guy's face too well and I don't know how old that video is but it could be Jeff Healey. He is blind guy that plays in that lap style and is an awesome blues player. If it is him that video would have to be about 20 years old. he is in his 40's by now...

WOW! That was really neat! I don't know who that was. It's true Jeff Healey plays on his lap like that, but i'm not sure if thats exactly his style. Another thread on here talks about great concerts, I saw Jeff Healey in concert new years eve in the park at Niagara falls back about 4 years ago i guess. Very cool. This guy though, he kind of reminds me of Stanley Jordan, not that he plays on his lap, just his style is similar.

I used to have an equalizer that had lights that flashed with each note of music, and I loved to play Malmsteen, because the lights couldn't keep up, lol. ;)

Man, I love Yngwie! I've seen him six times. My favorite was when Lita Ford opened up for him at the Royal Oak music Theater. Joe Lynn Turner, (Rainbow), was singing for him then. The next year Joe Lynn Turner sang on Deep Purple's Slaves and Masters album and tour. Winger opened up for them. Reb Beach was their Guitar guy. Another awesome player.

The kid in the first video is good, but the master is Stanley Jordan. In a class all by himself, he's technically amazing and musically astounding. He certainly wasn't the first to play in this manner, but the way he developed and implemented it truly sets himself apart.

Thought I would reserect this thread a little because I seen the Malmsteen guy. Very good guitarist that I seen in a group called G3 which had Satriani and Steve Vai all together. It was pretty awesome. Malmsteen is more of a student of Richie Blackmore from Deep Purple/Rainbow days.
Now Blackmore is a guy that can play. He does some kind of classical/folk stuff now. Still pretty good stuff with his wife singing, but she doesn't get it done compared to Gillan or Dio.
I think they put out a CD and I have the DVD of one of their concerts. I think it was back in the 90's?
A google search for G3 should bring them up.
