Greetings...

Hello all...

Just wanted to say hello and introduce oursleves, we are a H/W Established Team (Tractor/Trailer) and are now heading into the Expediting arena. We are very excited about this new step in our lives and we hope it will prove to be fruitful. We are going to start this venture off by driving for an Owner. Then perhaps down the road we will look into purchasing our own truck.

We have decided that we have come to a time in our lifes that if we are going to make a change, (hubby gave up driving 2yrs ago and I have been driving regional), we have to do it now otherwise we will probably never do it. Truck driving is in our blood and we both miss OTR and the freedom of being out there, so we decided that we want to, as the saying goes, 'work smarter, not harder', and believe that Expediting is the perfect place for us....

Hopefully we will be out there soon..!!

We are making the switch to a straight truck. We are done Teaming in Semi's - its a space issue. S/T with 96" sleeper is the way we want to go....

Thanks...but I don't know about having everything covered..~lol~ ....hardly...!! ~lol~

We are new to this type of trucking and we are not afraid to ask and keep asking until we get the hang of everything...There is a lot of great info here on these forums and I have and will be spending a lot of time reading all that I can...thanks..

You're right: 'everything' never happens, lol. What I meant was the basics [experience, knowledge, time spent driving over the road] that so many lack. Some lack even comprehension of how much they don't know, yet they're ready to buy a truck, first thing.

I think your chances of success are a little better than theirs.
PS When they misspell your name [and they will], don't take it personally - they're mostly half fast typists, is all that is.

Oh I see....~lol~..I totally understand, you see it everyday. Driving truck takes a certain type of person and some people just cannot handle it...and teaming, well thats just another kettle of fish....~lol~

My name gets spelt wrong all the time...I just ignore..~lol~

Thanks for the welcome...I hope I dont get a headache reading all the info...~lol~.. Seriously though, it is very informative and I have learnt so much in these past couple of days...thanks again...
