Just a note to introduce myself.

I've been reading the forums for quite some time now and I've decided to (finally) jump in.

I'm a wanna-be with a few years of experience. My goal is to get into the biz as a solo in a D-unit.

Hopefully I can offer a few valuable ideas as I continue my 'education'.

Good luck as a solo. Do your research on what company will fit you best and get you the loads you need.

depending where you live, watching the loads you take, you could do alright.remember your solo,so you don't want to be in areas where it takes a team to get loaded.long weekend loads look good, but if your in an area that only is good for a team, that long load won't look so good, after you have sat for a couple days.Ill.In,Mi,Ohio are good for short solo load,Try to stay in those areas

Been doing the solo thing the past 7 years. Have done team but the aggravations "drove" me back. You can do really well pay wise as long as you're signed on with proper carrier.
