Back in 2009, Team Obama announced $100 milllion in stimulus funding for transit agencies to create green jobs and lessen America’s dependence on foreign oil. Fisher Coachowrks of Michigan was one of the recipients, and posted the news on their website:

September 21, 2009 GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. — The Obama administration announced Monday that the Flint Mass Transportation Authority was among the transit agencies awarded a share of $100 million in Economic Recovery Act funds for pursuing environmental technologies to lessen America’s dependence on oil and create green jobs. The MTA will use the funds to replace two diesel buses with advanced all-electric Zero-Emissions GTB-40 buses from Fisher Coachworks.

“These grants will put Americans to work now while improving our environment in the future,” said Federal Transit Administrator Peter Rogoff.

MTA’s proposal was among 43 winning projects selected in nationwide competition for $100 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funds.

Since President Barack Obama signed ARRA into law on Feb. 17, 2009, grants totaling more than $7.2 billion have been made available for transit improvements throughout the nation.

And fast forward to today where it’s been revealed that Fisher Coachworks went out of business and won’t be repaying $1.6 million in loans from the Flint MTA. It looks like Team Obama sent $2.2 million to Flint’s MTA, and the Flint MTA kicked in $400,000 of its own.

Fisher went out of business before the Flint MTA loaned them the second $1 million, so, where’s that money now? The state suspended funding to Fisher back in April 2010. Any bets if taxpayers get that $1 million back?

More importantly, where’s the accountability? Where’s Congress and their oversight over all this?

Poorboy, this would have happened regardless who the president is. Bush handed out millions through the DHS to shore up police and fire departments and Detroit spent it on new cars for the city council, trips to Africa with the governor and a bunch more with no accountability to where the money went. NYC did the same thing by the way.

So it really doesn't matter who is there - they are all the same.

Obama is just the current bum in the White House. It is his turn to be blamed for everything. These problems are more caused by our useless congress than Obama's. He is a putz to be sure.

The problem is caused mainly by 4 things. The ReBumLiCans, the Dumb-O-Crats, career politicians and ourselves for voting the same scum back in year in and year out.

Well here is another example, Bush and congress created a big government entity called Department of Homeland Security - always reminded me of Germany's or the Soviet's department names.

Well DHS is BIG business and watching a little news report on it, the cost of running grows by 13% every year and has since 2003. The contractors and vendors who supply the department are huge profit makers with no accountability.

The day before I watched that, I finished reading a manuscript of a book about the history of civil defense which ended in 2001 with 9/11. The author who is a very good historian pointed out in the notes section that DHS has removed the civilian population from any and all of their obligations and replaced with a huge and unmanageable system that will end up failing us and already in the past couple years is showing it with the TSA at airports where they yet to stop anyone except 3 year olds or 89 year old ladys.
