Nothing but Greed...or so the left would have you believe...

..... cute .....

But in terms of moral tales personally I much prefer the following two .... even though they don't come with pretty pictures:

The characterization (of the title) is a bit of a misnomer .... and Dr. Friedman while mentioning greed several times, eventually poses the question: "What is greed ?" ..... and then utterly fails to answer it ... and instead moves on to talk about economic self-interest and free-markets .... as though they and greed were necessarily one and the same .... and as though such a thing as a common interest has never existed ....

I'm sure that for those who fear the idea of actually pondering and engaging in their own mental gymnastics of actually thinking, that video such as this serves as a neat package of all relevant and necessary thoughts that need be given the subject ....

What is greed? and where does it apply to Wall Street and corporate America?

I'm sure that for those who fear the idea of actually pondering and engaging in their own mental gymnastics of actually thinking, that video such as this serves as a neat package of all relevant and necessary thoughts that need be given the subject ....

Some have pondered in their own head so much that they believe there are no opinions, other than their own, worth consideration.

One should ponder and consider this before criticizing Dr. Friedman for his lack of information in the clip about greed.....I'm certain that he personally didn't edit the one hour Donahue show, just as I'm certain he was not the one that titled it and posted it to youtube.

Giving it even more thought, it doesn't take a mental giant to constantly attack another poster in any given forum. It only takes a closed mind with a determination to harass and embarrass someone, anyone, who in the past or present has disagreed with him in one form or another.

Well gee DD..when ones opinion is the only right one in ones own mind....then everyone elses is stupid and or arrogant..and then they have the nerve to tell you just that.

Oh Mary, Mary ..... quite contrary ......

One should never assume that because one's opinion was ultimately rejected, that then also means the opinion wasn't considered and thoroughly examined.

Perhaps your thoughts on this are merely a reflection of your own personal inclinations in this regard ...... ?

I'm actually somewhat of a fan Dr. F ..... so my criticism is given not particularly as a condemnation of the man, but just to point out what wasn't covered in the video.

The matter of greed is actually something that is worthy of a conversation and debate.

Giving it even more thought, it doesn't take a mental giant to constantly attack another poster in any given forum.

Certainly true ..... just as it is true that some people are likely to take offense at something that wasn't even particularly aimed at them personally ..... perhaps because the premise as stated hits just a little bit too close to home ..... dunno ...

It only takes a closed mind with a determination to harass and embarrass someone, anyone, who in the past or present has disagreed with him in one form or another.

In the arena of the war of ideas, battles are constantly being fought ...... some, being worthy adversaries, suffer their wounds with dignity .... and being the noble folk they are, pick themselves up off the ground, to take up their cause again .....

Others simply cry "Foul !" at the very slightest of opportunities ..... embracing their victimhood lovingly, even if it exists only in their own mind, as though it were some sort of badge of honor .....

As always, the path one chooses to follow is a matter of personal choice.
