Honestly why not Detroit;
It has a lot of beautiful scenery and a lot of open fields and you can look at the great architecture of the remains of the burned out houses and buildings right from the freeway
A great restaurant – cockroaches extra, Yum!
Many places to get robbed, car stolen and even see a murder or two
ATMs all over the place in nice dark places near the casinos for your connivance
You can take in a dog fight or two or for something really entertaining see an IMAX movie about Detroit’s savior, Mayor Coleman A Young, nothing like a 30 foot high movie of the old great mayor telling off 60 minutes reporter Morley Safer, uttering those famous words in surround sound “how dare you question me, who the bleep do you think you are. I’ll buy any bleep thing I want, get the bleep out of here. bleep bleep bleepâ€
You can see the magnificent GM building that was abandon by GM in favor for the Ren Cen which was at 40% occupied by Ford and had 85% total occupancy. You can view the new GM building before they sell the GM sign to pay their bills at the same time admiring the sign of true Detroit art, the fist to memorialize Joe Louis across the street from the Coleman A Young municipal building
You can tour the art district, Heidelberg Street and what is left of Tyree Guyton's Heidelberg Project. You too could just take garbage out of the dumpster, glue it to your neighbor’s house and be an artist just like Tyree
You can watch new houses going up across from the auto factories where auto workers are soon to lose their jobs and the houses they just bought across from where they used to work
You can take a tour of Eminem’s haunts; take in the urban music scene. Visit Proof’s memorial and you can even go and place flowers at the Malice Green’s last stand and memorial crack house
Yea visit Detroit – all are welcomed.
But if you got through all that, I like Charleston SC.
