Great Food and best Truck Stops.

There are some great food stops that many of us like to visit while on the road. I wanted to post this thread to revisit some of the areas people might have gone and would recomend to other drivers. my recomendation is for the "Big Texan" in Amarillo, TX. Good luck finishing one of their omelettes. great food.

If your travels take you to Greenville or Wilson North Carolina and you like Eastern NC Barbecue, Parkers is the place for you

Southwest suburb of Louisville, Mark's feed store bbq and Mike Linnig's fish restaurant are two of the best eateries I've been to. There's a truck friendly walmart/kroger lot across the street from Mark's on 31W just north of 840. There's a tiny BP at the corner just down from Mike Linnig's off Green Belt. The two places are within two miles of each other. Man I need to get back to Louisville!!!

can,t remember the name but best bbq i have ever had but its across from pilot just south of huntsville al on I-65also if you like good pizza try gotchika,s in baltimore md

It's a rinky dink small truck stop, but there's a great little diner at the 'Track Stop' on US23 just North of Circleville, Ohio. The restaurant is called Grammy's Diner, and is decorated like a 50's style cafe. The food is good, homecooked style food, meatloaf, fish, open faced sandwiches, and of course burgers and Texas T's. The owner is usually there during the day, and I've found everyone very friendly. Not a place to go if you're in a hurry tho, as they cook to order. Make for good fresh food tho.

Blackville, SC on Rt 78 between Aiken and Charleston.

There is a BP station in this little town that has a food counter.

Everything is carryout.

It had the best fried chicken I have ever eaten!

NOW YOUR EATING A STEAK SANDWICH WITH THE LOT NOW I AM BEING A SMARTY OK TO GET THIS GREAT GREAT STEAK SANDWICH WITH THE LOT 1ST YOU GOT TO LEARN YOUR TRUCK TO SWIM OR MOVE OVER WATER BECAUSE THIS ROADHOUSE IS AT A PLACE CALL DADSWELL BRIDGE HALF WAY BETWEEN MELBOURNE VICTORIA AND MURRAYS BRIDGE SA BUT YOU WILL NOT MISS IT JUST LOOK FOR ALL THE RIGS PARKED OUTSIDE AND ALONG THE EDGE OF THE WESTERN HIGHWAY UNLESS THEY HAVE FINALLY DIVIDED THE HIGHWAY THERE BUT I AM SURE THEY HAVE NOT YET

But got this little story ok some of the old timers that been out here a while will know what i am talking about here ok .

you get some good wire a roll of alumi foil the heavy kind go into your local supermarket buy a chicken steak fish or what ever you desires you place the wire around your manifold pipe on the engine wrap the meat tight ok place some butter oinions tomatoes on it as well then wire that sucker to the pipe start driving up the road around 1 to 2 hours later stop unwire it watch out it is hot ok you now got one real good cook roast chicken enjoy ,

i did this for many years running in the australian outback no petro or flying j or t/a out there but you think i am joking try it it is great eating
