GPS

I've been running Map programs on my laptop for about 5 years and stepped up to GPS a year ago. I'm running Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 and its great. Just having to glance down every once and a while to see the blips on the green line saves on ulcer medicine.

As for going with a GPS unit verses a laptop I agree with those above the added benifits keep sanity on the road.

ALK in New Jersey makes a product called Co-Pilot TRUCK. Got to their web site www.alk.com. I have been using their software for several years and it does the job for me.

I haven't had the need for a gps yet. I go on mapquest and write down the directions. I do have delorme, however the computer being open is impractical while driving this truck.
