OK, maybe this is the last on this thread. Maybe not. But--- I started with those idiotic flashing green arrows that the Tom Tom unit seems to be cursed with. Today, I had the Garmin unit on it's first real run, and even though I know this particular run so well I could do it blindfolded it still has an effective test. The Garmin doesn't have those green arrows!!!! Hurray!!! Instead, it has a white arrow that shows the desired lane, and a little side-screen that shows which lane you should be in. The main screen stays in place, so all the information you need is where it ought to be. Now if it will just give me a few years of good service I'll be a happy camper.
