Well the June deadline for having speed limitation in place for large trucks is almost upon us. The Ont govt has issued the ecm readers to the scale houses and it appears they have started to practice with them. Yesterday as I traveled on the 407 I saw the scale was open (in van) and they were checking every truck going through. A couple of drivers at the fuel station had mentioned earlier in the day that this was happening. So get in practice of setting your top speed to 65mph.
On another fine note of course to further bug us drivers the Ont govt is proceeding with the law to not allow babbling on cellphones and texting etc. So make sure you also have headsets of one sort or another. As well remember that gps units must be mounted.
The MTO here seems to be stepping up its pulling over of trucks for minor inspections and checking paperwork and other such goodies so make sure everything is shipshape.
