America has ADD, and the networks couldn't get ratings in a real debate. Plus 17 candidates is unmanageable. Maybe they should run it like March madness, seems to work well for college basketball!
The first big clue was the second paragraph - "He told a story Americans wanted to hear..." That's biased phrasing, so when I read that I knew what was to come. Ironic, isn't it, that she's a liberal democrat living in a city ruled for 50 years by iron-fisted democrats, and she thinks more democrats is the answer.
But, hey, you gotta give her a break. She also thinks republicans were at one time centrist on social issues, so clearly she's delusional

Seriously. She actually wrote that. The public regulation of private affairs was once anathema (detested, loathed) to the GOP? OK, maybe back when the country itself was largely far right, the GOP might be considered centrist on social issues, but laws against private sodomy between married persons in he privacy of their own home didn't come from the democrats, I assure you.
