GOP Health Care Reform - Simple Explanation

Let's remember the House bill has yet to be voted on. Hopefully the two parties can intermingle both plans and come up with a bill that works for all Americans.

I'm sure there are some here that feel I am for the Democrats health bill. I'm not, I am in favor of health care reform if its done correctly. I think it's important to be well informed and see things from both sides and make well educated assertions with the facts so that you(we) can have a civilized debate about the issues at hand and be able to voice our concerns in a respectable manner to our politicians and fellow Americans.

So here is a link to see what the Republicans are proposing.

I don't think that there is need for MASSIVE reform of health care. I am SURE on one thing, IF the government is involved it will cost us MORE than we pay now, they system will break down and we will get LESS for our money and there will be graft, corruption and a loss of personal freedoms. NOTHING is worth ANY loss of freedom. I shall resist this with every fiber of my being.

Why would you want a plan that works for all Americans when that is an impossibility to begin with?

The fallacy is that taking over health care by the federal government is a good thing but there is not one thing that they have done right - really not one thing.

History has shown that private interests, capitalism if you want to call it, has been the best course of action to solve problems for society, not government.

The best course of action is doing nothing, the second best course of action is forcing states to allow people to cross the state lines for competitive rates in health care and harmonize mandates across the board to lessen costs. Outside of those two things, the federal government oversteps that fine constitutional line of intruding on YOUR privacy.

You can’t turn on any news channel without hearing about the health care bills and what the politicians in Washington are doing to mess up the best medical system in the world.
The solution makes sense. Read it and see what you think:

While discussing the upcoming Universal Health Care Program the other day, we think we have found the solution. I am sure you have heard the ideas that if you're a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need any health care. A new hip? Unheard of. We simply can't afford to take care of you anymore. You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc. Let’s take care of the young people. After all, they will be ruling the world very soon.
So here is the solution. When you turn 70, you get a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need!!! New teeth, great!!! Need glasses, no problem. New hip, knee, kidney, lung, heart? Well, bring it on. And who will be paying for all of this. The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. And, since you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income tax.
We really think we have a Perfect Solution!

Easy killer........please don't assume what I want, there is enough of that going on in here.

Unfortunately, if there are any changes it will have to come down from the Govt. such as what you presented below.

the second best course of action is forcing states to allow people to cross the state lines for competitive rates in health care and harmonize mandates across the board to lessen costs.

Just to make myself clear, I do not want a Govt. run health care plan, I want a plan done by our politicians that have our best interest in mind. If you think our health care system doesn't need to be examined, revamped, scrutinized, etc, etc, you are dilusional. The way that may happen is if we keep our politicians accountable for their decisions in a respectful way.

Our system, which there is in reality NO "system" so to speak is just fine. We need tort reform AND and good hard look as to why some things are as high as they are. NO ONE has a RIGHT to health care. Just as NO ONE is ETITLED to food. There are too many lies being floated as fact. Like that 46 million without insurance. NO proof as been offered on that number. I have asked both of my senators and my congressmen for the proof, to include methodology for coming up with that number and proof that that number can be duplicated. And what IF that number is correct, how many are not legal residents? How many CHOOSE not to buy it? The entire mess is a joke. This entire thing is only about control of the People and the total destruction of our Constitution and freedom, nothing more.
