Goodbye expediting

After making $400 on 2 loads in the last 2 week, I am going back to driving a semi. I wish I owned a van instead of a straight truck, so I would have something to drive around town. Good luck to all of you, you will need it.

Thanks Moose. I did not trade in my truck. It is a 2003 straight truck available real cheap. I have 23 years experience driving semi, and I can make $50000 with bennies a year delivering toilet paper, and I will get home every 5 days instead of every 5 weeks. The economy sucks and it might get worse, but people will always need toilet paper. It will be great to get home to my lake home in the woods and put my boat in the water more than once a year. If anyone is stuck in my neighborhood for a weekend, let me know. I have a place for you to stay and room in my boat.

Goodbye and good luck. Sorry to hear about your misfortunes but everyone has their own paths to walk down and everything happens for a reason.

Don't think of it as a door closing but of another one opening.

Keep us in mind as we will of you and look in on us once in awhile and tell us of your adventures.

Thanks everyone. I will still be around here because of the very nice people. If anyone is passing through in summer, I can offer a lakeside layover spot, if you don't mind the noise from the eagle nest 600 feet away. I have pictures of our eagle neighbors on my Facebook page.

Well, since it looks like trucks are not selling and my prefered simi jobs are not hiring, I took a long load to Fuquay Varina, NC. After sitting since 6 AM Monday waiting for my next load, I decided to check out the expedite company 30 miles from the TA in Whitsett, NC.
After talking to the ex Tri State drivers in the TA parking lot, I decided to change companies rather than deadheading 1200 miles to the house with no good job prospects. Monday is orientation and hopefully I will be making money again.

By the way, I like the TV show House, but I think the star of Bones is a lot easier to look at.
