Can we get a sticky thread going with BBQ experiences posted? When traveling, I love me some BBQ. But not just "ok" BBQ. I've stopped too many times in KC & Memphis and been somewhat disappointed.
I need a list at my fingertips of places, dives or palaces, with outstanding BBQ.

City, state, your favorite BBQ dish, any special features.
Anyone game?

Dave's Spiced Right BBQ.

Love the pulled pork.
Mom & pop place.
Dave may just come out and hang on the picnic tables with you while you eat.

WTH?? Where do you live?! I grew up in Homewood and are plenty of Jim & Nick's in Homewood on Oxmoor Rd.
Good stuff. Almost as good as Dave's and CAH.

The one on Oxmoor is good too. I remember when that place was a Quincy's. The Pelham location is closer to me, I'm down near Clanton.

Mark's Feed Store BBQ, Hwy 31, southwest corner of Louisville. (and about 2 miles away from there is Mike Linnig's that has some of the best fish you'll ever eat)

Big Boy's BBQ, Sweetwater, TX with one of the best sandwich buns you'll ever eat filled with good bbq

Come n Get It has some of the best down home cooking that I have ever had.

The BBQ meatloaf is fantastic and you get a plate full of food, you'll end up with leftovers.
Fairly priced and a good value.

The staff is friendly and the resturant is clean.

Jack Stack in the KC area. I went to the one in Overland Park WAY back in 2002, when I was with Cabela's. Went again not long ago when we had a weekend off there. It was very good, both times, years apart. It is worth the effort if you get the chance to try them. We have never tried their mail order stuff, might just do that soon.

If you are in Memphis this weekend, they have the World BBQ cook-off going on. You should have no trouble finding the best out there. Right there on the river. Part of Memphis in May thing.
