100% due to the speed limiters, is the reason i pulled my truck off the Canada list. Ontario is not my only customer. Also after paying the tolls to cross back and forth, adding an extra $100 for each trip to stop and have my truck turned up and down is kinda silly. besides once again i think they are picking on the trucks, when the four wheelers in Canada drive like their fuel tanks were on fire, and there trying to outrun the explosion. if you want to slow trucks down, write more tickets. just ask ohio.
i once enjoyed going to Canada, before i had to get a passport, and have folks start rummaging through my past. im a truck driver. not some evil mastermind intent on taking over the world with a bunch of hula dancers in grass skirts and a role of duck tape.
So to the powers that be, no more haz-mat, nor twick, nor fast after this one expires. when you come up with one background check that covers all the crap we have to do, then call me. but for me to pay $100 a pop for a background check for every time someone dose something stupid, along with the millions of other drivers out here. well, this is beyond silly.

GM will not pull out of Canada...
First reason: Its called GM Canada not GM USA..
Second and most important...It would cost GM Millions to import cars and trucks into Canada because of duties and tariffs that they don't pay now due to NAFTA.
Also it would cost millions of dollars to import parts from Canada because of duties charged by the US because GM would not be part of NAFTA....
It would cost many, many more millions of dollars to buy out and pay severance to every salaried and hourly worker.
