Rt. 30 is more of a straight shot from Chicago to PA, me thinks.Since they widened r20 in Ohio I usually take that 55/60 mph across maybe a couple lights, save fuel also
Well I do the 20 to get to the i-80Rt. 30 is more of a straight shot from Chicago to PA, me thinks.Since they widened r20 in Ohio I usually take that 55/60 mph across maybe a couple lights, save fuel also

Yeah, it kind if goes up north by Norwalk, OH. Switch to Rte. 18?Well I do the 20 to get to the i-80
I still prefer Rt. 30.Time of day
Traffic
Delivery time
Weather I need a power nap
It really pays off in the old sprinters To slow down to 55- 60and get 23-24 miles to the gallon you can really put some money back in your pocketYeah, it kind if goes up north by Norwalk, OH. Switch to Rte. 18?Well I do the 20 to get to the i-80

Ahh, the good old days of paid tolls by AAMC (or RRE as they are known now).I just take the Non-scenic route ... the Toll Road ...
Usually better Highway conditions...
No Stop signs ...
I can maintain my 68 to 69 mph and 18.5 to 20. MPG ..
If needed free shower .. bathroom also close ..
And at No Cost to Me ...
another day .. another bowl of Popcorn
Enjoyed Route 30 yesterday.
Better road, nicer than toll washboard I-80 in OH/IN area. ️
