Cheri: we have 2 spots on the rear of the truck where the tag can go. 1 is the bracket under the rear the second is actually on the door. Both spots the bulb won't work.
We called Safty to double check where the tag needs to be and got the same answer everyone else is giving. "It goes on the rear of the truck". So we are at AutoZone right now trying to get a new bracket for the tag.
We are in TX right now and my husband says they are pulling trucks in left and right and inspecting 5 or 6 at a time.

Wow, that's a new one. That's were Giants stadium is. I guess we will be avoiding 16w & rt3 the next couple of days.
The NJ thing, take I-81 N to i-84 E if headed to New England, only like 25 mi.s further, and no GW bridge toll. I noticed a sign for my first time advising trucks to take this route to New Eng before you get to I-81. Traffic wasn't bad at all this morning.
Coming thru NY, pulled in rest area and even tho scale said closed, 2 NY DOT's were checking everybody pulling in. Also I-95 Maine scale just north of NH is going strong, N and S bound, 7 or 8 DOT vehicles in each, OOS trucks parked everywhere and the big rig wreckers parked waiting. Luckily I was given a level one in NM a couple weeks ago during a Hazmat ck and asked for a new windshield sticker (one inspector told me they were out of stickers and a supervisory officer overheard us and came over to tell me he could get me one if I'd like to wait a bit). So far, every officer has waved us on, apparently due to the sticker, and my truck is soo prettyhttp://www.expeditersonline.com/forum/images/icons/icon11.png .
I found it interesting the news just came out the deadly NY bus crash last year was caused by driver fatigue. Also heard Anne Ferro was going to be at a MD road check this a.m. to kick off the blitz. PHOTO OPP!
Six hours to get through a scale in N.J. and using a football stadium to stage trucks. Sure to make an awesome photo on FMCSA ans CSA websites next to Ann Ferro and Ray Lahood photo ops.
F.Y.I. for those who dont know this most of the time almost always you have to use the towing company "authorized" by the Law enforcement agentcy and they can and do charge with impunity two to three times a normal rate. Do you see why I refer to the CSA BS as a shakedown Its not abbout safety its money, and croney capitalisim.
Thats why most City Police Officers who I actualy respect because they work busting real criminals like rapists, and murder suspects and try to keep people safe they have little respect for the ghestopo state police, sheriffs, and hick town barneys and meter maids.
Im sure most of the trucks OOS are B.S. and minor get it fixed things like lights, markings, bring your log up to time, a henweigh, and whatever else they can make up and multiply. Try calling A wrecker for a rescue and get a rate and wait time for it to show up.
If I recall OOIDA supported Ann Ferro What a mistake I question theier real intentions when it comes to the small trucker and big brothers control.l Think in new speak, George Orwell 1984 and Good Luck we have three More days of the boot jacked thugs yep, I always include Friday.

One end zone is full of flowers and there is a group of Teamsters there, on bended knee praying. It's almost as if they were visiting a graveside. Very strange!
Sounds like the union is holding annother a gay pride convention.

One could say that but that doesn't trump cats and dogs being safely secured in their seat.
When I saw truckers and Giants stadium mentioned in the same thread I couldn't help but post what I thought was a somewhat witty and mildly humorous reference to the Jimmy Hoffa mystery. I'm lost on the Obama, Gay Pride thing.
