Generator

I am looking for any suggestions from you seasoned professionals. I am new to driving (dispatched for 2years prior), I can hear the 'boo's' now. Anyway, with winter approaching, I am looking at purchasing a portable generator. I drive a cargo van, so space conservation is important. I found one through Harbor freight that is 1050watts. The dimensions on this model are perfect, it will tuck beside the wheel well and will not be in the way of freight. It seems the wattage will run a small heater, hotplate, etc. The model I'm looking at is

If anyone has better suggestions, I'm totally open. Thanks.

You don't want the generator inside the van where would the exhaust vent to?

We like dispatchers..especially when they send us loads

I should've been more clear. The generator will store in the cargo area, and I'll pull it out when it looks like I might sit a while. I do have a 'ship to shore' plug on the outside of the van that will run all ac products inside. As far as the dispatch comment..... I worked for a small company, you may have heard of them "Panther". A lot of you know me, I worked in driver relations, but decided to join where the rubber meets the road, and have not regretted it.

Lane PepBoys has a 1200 watt that is the size of a pepsi 24pk cube I put it in my van for Donnie Easy to start and takes up half the space as the one you have here and costs about $120

BTW welcome to our side of the phone lol

Me too! Of all the problems I had with Panther, almost none were the dispatcher's fault. After hearing about some of the 'irate' drivers y'all have to deal with, I completely understand your wanting to switch, lol. Welcome!:)
