General Info on Panther and using broker's

Need some help.I was an O/O for Panther for two years ('99-01) in a cargo van and am thinking about returning first as a driver then as fleet owner(cargo vans).Is panther the place to go?What are their pay rates?Plus,someone mentioned something about using a secondary broker,for a fee and still using Panther's authority,again for a fee.Can anyone help with these questions.Thanks in advance

I think your first stop is to determine if they are putting vans on. I believe they stopped adding vans, but I would confirm with a call to recruiting. They can answer your other questions with regards to brokering as well.

Got a question for you- What's the maximum load milage a single
Cargo van can go per run (non-haz load)?

That depends on a lot of variables, how long till delivery, if there is a van that they can do a switch, along with a location to do it. I would guess somewhere in the 600 mile range thou.

Vans 10,000# and under are not required to log so there is no limit on the miles you can go. I have done runs 800 to 1100 miles driving straight thru because the load needed to be there ASAP.

I don't expect correct punctuation from everyone who posts, but it'd be nice to see it from those who write signage for a business - which truckstop sells "Apple's & Banana's"? It always makes me wonder (like Turtle) apple's and banana's WHAT?!
I'd apologize for hijacking the thread, but it seems to have changed direction......
