Phil Great Idea!!!

Why not marry 3 women with CDL's though? Send em out 2 at a time and stay home with 1 and count the cash. Get a good solid rotation worked out and relax!

Me tink actually, after this has and WILL be bantered bout forever, the real reason "teams" don't work, is.... there really no "I" in the word TEAM.

Prolly the biggest splaination there is for the problem. Dunno?

Hey Steve, what if you introduce a penalty for co-drivers when they cause delays? Like for every five minutes they cause a delay, they would lose 1% of their next pay check. The cap could be ten or fifteen percent.

The prospect of losing six percent of a pay check for being one hour late would be freaking sobering. Losing ten or fifteen percent for causing a one day delay might be rare or never.

The penalty would go directly to you (or your business) and then you could either keep it or stick it in a pool to reward things like safe driving or whatever else can be rewarded.

Phil I'm on the floor in tears from laughing so hard.many time Ive thought how a wife might solve my driver problems, but that might incur other problems. Not that I run around that much, but close quarters are not good for disputes between spouses.Large sleeper wouldnt help, just more truck to clean, might be good place to hide a dog though.

I'm also laughing at Phil's response! That was great!
Night, you're correct about the close quarters and disputes. Slamming that curtain closed just doesn't have the same effect.
It sounds like you needed to make the change, and hopefully it will be a profitable one.

Dont understand about late, never had co driver late, they just quit when you need them most.I one time put a driver on a bonus program. Each quarter that we made the selected revenue,he would get a bonus on top of his pay.He had the bonus from first two quarters of the year, went on vacation in August, and I have not heard from him since, except when he told me he met this lady in Canada while he was on vacation, and they were getting married so he quit.
