As we all know there are a lot of accusations, halve truth's, lies, and just plain ignorant facts out there on the Presidency and his campaign promises.

In an attempt to have some intelligent and informed discussions on this board about our politics in this country I am suggesting that you check this web-site out, politifact.com.

Seriously, I post a link that is a reputable newspaper trying to "responsibly" go through the facts of todays politics and you come back with links to 3 different blogs????? C'mon Man!!!!

I'm not saying that the St. Petersburg Times is the
end all be all, but at least come back with a legitimate institution against what they are trying to do. Turn off your Beck's, Hannity's, O'reilly's, Rush's, Olbermann's, blogs and whatever other crackpot that's on T.V. or your radio trying to make millions of dollars for themselves and their advertisers and think for yourself. C'mon Man!!!!

We have someone in the Soapbox that continues to flood the site with useless information that he shamelessly admits may be bogus, lies, halve truths, etc, etc and goes without anyone questioning him. C'mon Man!!!!!!

You want some cheese with that whine!?? and just to be clear, i'll will continue to do so...:D but take heart, barry only has a little over 3 yrs left in his term....:D, then I'll start in on the next one.... you want to refute anything put up, its as simple as posting what you find that sayes its not true...so have at it....:D

I guess I am not looking at those as the real promises, but looking at fixing the economy, putting people back to work or expanding retraining for adults as the foundation of all promises made - all three were made and nothing has yet happened.

The biggest thing is the promise of accountability, all those other promises are trivial and meaningless without his promise of accountability within the government.

We have yet seen the website to read and comment on bills that will be signed five days ahead.

We haven't seen anyone who caused our financial meltdown removed from office in congress nor do we have the ability to know who his advisors are and what they represent.

In other words, he promised an open and transparent government, "one that works for the people and not special interest" and until that promise is fulfilled, all the other ones make him out as a lier.
