When I was in high school, Driver's Education was offered in school. We had classroom training, on the road driver training. And, we also had driver simulator training, which for the early 70's was pretty high tech. We'd go into these big trailers and sit at these consoles with steering wheels, speedometers, and pedals and turn signals, the whole bit. I dunno, maybe 20 of them in a trailer. We'd pretend to drive while watching a movie and our driving would be recorded and scored. It was pretty kewl. Those movies, more than anything else, taught me to look far ahead instead of at just the few cars ahead of me.
