Freightliner m2 tail lights out. On the road now

I'm on the road. Noticed tail lights are out. It's a 2005 m2 106
Break lights and turning signals work but tail lights don't. Box markers etc are all working.
I checked the fuse box on the wheel well but there isn't even a fuse for lights. No burnt fuses
I started reading online about some chasis module or fuse box but no idea where to find it.
Driving to Memphis. If anyone has ideas about a 2nd fuse box and where it might be please help!

Had a bad ground wire on ours last year, driver side coming off the back side of the light to the frame, not sure how yours is set up,

We had problems like that. Took several times to find it. The M2 has wires laying against the frame, often unprotected. Several had worn through the insulation. Good luck.

Got pass last nite around 10pm east side of Memphis on 40 west bound by a kitty st8 with the only lights working was headlights. It went through the scale house without getting stopped. Had that been me, they would have thrown the book at me.

it might be just the tail light wire, which is relatively easy to track down, it's a long wire but it's atleast simple. get a "power probe plus" it's a test-light on 'roids, makes chasing stuff like that real easy.

on the other hand it could be a computer module. We had a 02 international down for a week for a similar issue because it was some bizarre computer problem. the switch is it's own computer, the voltage regulator has a computer, the dash has it's own computer, and all 3 play a roll in turning each and every light on the truck on separately.

Had the same problem a while back. if you have the small rectangular lights hanging off a bracket it was the connector (plug) into the light. Unplug it, plug it back in and jiggle it some in the socket. eventually will have to replace the plug.

So I've looked around some more. I have no idea what it might be. It's gotta be a wire somewhere but can't locate it. I'm not all that great at auto electrical work but I gave it a shot anyway lol
Local dealers are 2-3 days before they can take a look at it. Made a temporary/ghetto fix and hope this does the trick for me to get back to Chicago. Gonna have to find someon to come out because Trans Chicago dealer are a rip off and a half. If any of you know a shop or a guy with some knowledge about electric work on a truck let me know. Here's a pic of my temporary fix. 14 bucks LED lights and red tape lol

If it's a bad ground check for voltage at connections to light ground to hot 12v
Automotive wires use white as ground and colors are hots I would first run a new ground right to light connections for a temp fix on Morgan boxes there is usually a small termination block under the box where the world meets the voltage check there also it's small about 2x3 if that

I got a friend with a shop there in Indianapolis he can get you in and out rather quickly.. Indiana fleet tech, ask for Scott 317-771-4889 , good work and affordable prices

Are you running a Morgan truck body and have a lift gate? Look allong the left/drivers side frame rail often there is a usualy bundle of wire harness and connections wrapped up in tape often arround the rear axle. Theyre known to get all kinds of crud inside the tape mess and start corroding. Had my box and tail lights go out on me a couple years ago all except my 4 ways and brakes. 2:30ish A.M. luckily the trooper was in a decent mood and I wasnt too far from home so all I got was a fix it ticket and a escort so no one plowed into the truck. Some guys also get verry sloppy when wiring up a box. I re-wired almost all the lights and put them high and dry.

PM me if you want some wiring tips. I will warn you, to do it right it wont be cheap even if you do it yourself but well worth the work.
