Freight moving

Looking for some information from other drivers/ owner operators with cargo vans. Have been doing a lot of sitting in different locations and it seems like freight has really slowed down in the past month or so. Are other drivers experiencing this same thing?

Things are going quite well for me right now. Matter of fact the last 3-4 weeks have been outstanding.

Get away from the muti carrier / broker and go with just one. All you are doing by being with more than one is pitting them against each other. Also the market is saturated with vans and sprinters. Its not that freight is down.

I was at one shipper just yesterday.....I said hey....I haven't been here in a long time...Still shipping expedite?....NOT very much at all he said..new inventory software has done wonders and better quality control.... we are down about 90% this year in our expedite shipments.
examples of the above and throw in what Dynamite said...if there are just 3x's the vans now then there was 2 years ago....numbers would indicate your income would be 33 1/3% LESS!......

Over-saturation is an understatement.Every where you look, you see some cargo van, Sprinter, cube, yellow penske, with a different un-heard of expedite company on the side in magnetics or just plain stickers. I often wonder what makes these people think they are going to succeed in an already over-populated market? You can only make the slices of a pie so thin before everyone starves....

What makes them think they can succeed in an already overpopulated market? Delusional thinking, lol.
Seriously, they probably don't know [or believe] that it is a saturated market. But even if they've heard rumors to that effect, they still have to try, because this is America: if you don't try, you're broke and despised for it.
IOW, they want exactly the same thing you want: to earn an honest living.

What makes any of us for that matter "think" we are going to succeed?....

some appear to be just thrashing around in the water going sideways....
