Freight in Florida

I was just wondering if any st loads come out of Florida. I have been to Jacksonville once and Orlando 2 times. All 3 times had to dh to Georgia to get a load. Now i'm sitting outside Orlando again with no load offers. With a million trucks on the board. The board position is not too bad. If thats what they go by. Any advice on where to get a good load out, or just dh to Georgia.

They do. Better chances if you can do government loads, or know how to broker yourself out if you are sitting too long.

Call your team leader and see if he/she will give you an empty move to Atlanta. Worked for me a couple of times. Good luck.

I tried everything. Everytime i tried to get a em anywhere they said NO. Too many trucks on all the boards. Well i ended up dh to the tifton board and got a load 8 hrs later. Imagine that. And for the backhaul thing. I have yet to run a backhaul with panther in almost 2 years. How do you find one that will fit in the truck that pays more than fuel, and is not going over 1500 miles. Two people at driver relations told me some drivers get backhauls for over a dollar a mile. I'm lucky to find one for .25 cpm. Anyway i'm going to think twice about going back to florida.

Between 1/1/2008 and now we've delivered 10 loads to FL and have had 9 loads back out. (4 General, 1 Elite, 2 Gov, and 2 Temp Control.) Only one time did we sit in FL for any length of time and that was Apr of 2009. We bounced around in FL for a week, before getting a Gov load out of Robins AFB and going back to FL again. Then immediately back out headed to AZ.
