Well to the MANY of you who over and over told me to get FoxFire and I drug my fingers all I can say is I was goofy.

This program is AWESOME and I cannot believe all that it will do and how fast my pages load.

I had a rough time getting the plug ins to load but now I am still in awe I feel as if I have a new computer with a built in spell checker. Now if I could just get the darn thing to help with my sentence structure...

Thanks you guys and you know who you are for encouraging me to check FoxFire out it is better then expected.

No more tiny font posts from spell checking in a different program.

Uh, Linder - you meant Firefox, right? :D
There is a series of wonderful books called Foxfire, about how things were done [like building homes, providing food, making candles, shoes, etc] in the 'old days' in Appalachia, but I'm thinking that's not what you're referring to here.
Both are excellent.

For those of you that do have Foxfire, have you tried the add on's? I use "cool iris" all the time for faster surfing, and I particularly like "yoono" also for presenting like sites to check out. There are lots of good tools at Firefox. Just look in help or tools for them.

I tried putting that on my machine once. It killed the machine. Maybe it was because I still had IE on it? Has anyone else had that problem?

JR: dunno if I have the whole set, but I have the first 12 - enough to get me through a total breakdown of 'modern' living, if need be.
It's pretty impressive, considering it began as one simple high school English class project, eh?

I have IE, Firefox, Safari, Flock and Netscape Navigator on my pc. None crashed anything and all see to work fine. I don't use IE at all unless I find a website so poorly designed it just won't work in anything else. I have three yahoo emails, one personal, one business and one spam catcher so I just have a set one in each browser so I don't have to log out and in to check them. I think if Firefox crashed the system there might have been something coincidental going on. Flock is a streamlined version of Firefox. It has a lot of the features and a lot of the add ons but not all and in theory is even faster than Firefox. I can't tell any difference but maybe that's just old eyes.

Even though I downloaded Firefox I still have IE running in the background just in case. My first problems I had was with the plug ins but I seem to have that problem solved. I so far have liked everything I have seen with this program.

No, I'm on an HP pc. I just find Safari useful for holding another email address at the ready.

I did not have any trouble on Facebook after I finally was able to download the plugins. I went back to IE a few times when I could not do what I wanted on FireFox. Now that I have not had any trouble with my Facebook, Twitter or all the other goofy things I have myself involved with.
