found a new drink

Today we were at the grand re-opening of a local grocery. Out front they had a canopy set up giving out samples of 8 or 10 flavors of a drink called Fuze. I tried the strawberry guava and it is delicious. I'd almost have to say it's better than Dr. Pepper. It's not an "energy" drink but it does have several vitamins. I'll be going back tomorrow to buy some if they have that flavor in stock by then.

Yum,Yum Fuze. Really good picker uppers. All the flavours are delish
I like that you have to shake them up. Sometimes Krogers has them 10 for 10.00 or some gimmick or another. Excellennt choice.

I tried the green tea but for me it's YUCK. I'm going to try to have one of these and one V8 a day instead of Dr. Peppers. I'll still be drinking enough D.P. to keep the stock price from falling I'm sure. I like that 10/$10 Kroger deal. I'll be cleaning them out at both local stores when they put these on.

My wife thought she was doing me a favor and bought a case of Lipton green tea, well there sits a case of tea because I can't drink it. I can't have sugar, so most of these drinks are nothing but sugar, aspartame or other chemicals so it tastes like something other than preservatives.

"the lipton green tea is the best diet drink I have ever drank and it helped lower that blood sugar."

For me it is either faux-lemonade or water. I got to tell you, I enjoy the water more than having soda or anything else for that matter. Oh did I mention it is the best diet drink you can ever have?

A while ago, and I don't know exactly why, I sat down in one of those blood pressure booths at a store and took a reading. When I announced the numbers to Diane, she said, "That's high."

I brushed it off, attributing it to a flawed machine as I have never had high blood pressure in my life. But as my DOT physical date approached, I wondered, and bought a blood pressure cuff. The readings were not high enough to trigger a CDL disqualification but they were higher than experts recommend. I had to face facts. I am no longer at the age where I can eat and drink with impunity.

Reading up on the subject, green tea came up again and again as something good. It is said to help reduce blood pressure. It provides antioxidants. It is a appetite suppressant. I tried it, found it to be not terrible to drink, decided to turn it into an acquired taste, and now enjoy it several times a day. It is also nice that the tea bags require little storage space in the truck.

Drinking green tea, getting the snack foods out of the truck and being more careful about what we eat has yielded positive results. Our weight is down 15 pounds each and my blood pressure is dramatically lower.

It is true what they say about green tea. It is an effective appetite suppressant. So is a double cheeseburger with fries. It's not quite the same, making a cup of tea when I feel the urge for fast food, but it is the right thing to do.

Hey Greg,

I can have sugar but don't like to. I like the fact that more and more drinks are being made with Splenda.

Buying your own BP cuff is the only way to go. I take a pill for my BP and keep an eye on it with my cuff. I've tried 3 of the truckstop machines and 2 of them gave false high readings. I take mine with me to the doctor once in a while to compare readings. The first time I tried one at a J, there was a guy freaking out because because of the numbers, top number over 200. I tried it, then went and got my cuff to compare. He was still high, but at least he was in no danger of suddenly exploding.

Leo,

I also wondered about the sugar in your new drink? The drink sounds really good so I am pretty sure it must be terrible for you.

It's not sugar free but compared to soda it has 135 calories vs 150 and it has 24g total carb w/ 22g sugars compared to 40/40 for soda so it's 10% less calories and 40% less total carb and 45% less sugars. It also has vitamins a, b3, b5, b6, b12, c, e and calcium. It's not a health drink but is healthier than soda.

Do you remember the day when eating and drinking used to be good for you?

Leo,
Please what is the size of the product consumed to get those stats?

Those are derived from multiplying the 8oz serving size numbers given for the product by 1.5 to equal a 12oz soda. They'd be worthless without equalizing.

You don't want to wait nearly that long to try it out. It's too good to wait.
