Has anyone in a Ford Diesel Van added after market cruise control. If so was it the new steering wheel type or just the Stalk replaced?. Plus are you happy with the way either one works for you?. Thanks in advance.
It's a 2002. A shop in Springfield, MO. that advertises every day on the local radio "We are your cruise control installer" told me they couldn't do Diesels. From "Google" there are steering wheel replacements to signal stalks. I was told because it's a diesel it's done through the vacuum pump.
I added one to the 03 I just sold and it was easy to install hardest part was running a wire through the firewall. here is a kist i saw for sale on a search it has only 2 or 3 wires to plug in and your done. I got my kit new on ebay for $85 3 years ago.
Sometimes it seems to cost less doing aftermarket. If you ad up all the time and energy involved in doing after market and headaches down the road it might be better just to get Ford to do it.
