That's a good question for this rifle but if its a Chinese never suggest messing with the trigger as a few made it into the States that will do a something it shouldn't.. :D
What really scares me on it is those assault looking legs..After all they where designed to improve the rifle. Some would say only the army should have legs on their guns...lol

Yeah, the legs make it easier for that "assault rifle" to walk out and kill more on it's own.

Think they are a bit tighter then the M16.. I don't own a AK or AR15 and its been awhile since I ran one of them. My bother has a AK and if I'm not mistaken it has a lot lighter trigger..
Only other true Military weapon I fired was the 50 cal Mounted on a tank and I was so giddy over that I have no clue what the firing lever was like like..:D

I would suggest the heavier bullet for a more stble flight and more sure penetration.

I personally have only shot 1 yote. That was using "Accellerator" loads which is a saboted .223 caliber bullet loaded into a 30.06 case. I think remington used to make them. It was years ago, but I think they claimed better than 4k FPS

Anyway the yote actually exploded, I hit him in the middle and there was not much left but paws, head and tail. Which sucked because I wanted his coat!!!

I believe the shot was in the 75 to 100 yard range.

A standard AR mil spec trigger breaks at 8-9 lbs, which is very heavy. My composite lower has a mil spec trigger, heavy, but it breaks clean. My AR has a 5lb trigger. My good deer rifle has a 4LB trigger. When I finish up everything my composite will have the 5lb trigger and my other lower will have a 3LB trigger. I cannot shoot that heavy stuff very well.

I think the SKS is one of the best rifles out there.. Just seems to be put together so good.
I like the AK also but dont care for the stamped receiver that comes with most of them. Perfer the milled receiver but ya dont see many of them but still the AK is very good rifle.
Funny article states stamped has a longer life then milled and I would have thought different.

AK-47 Receiver Identification: Milled vs. Stamped

Before you write off a ak, read about this one. It's my next buy.

SKS have rough triggers, generally. They also tend to have soft sear blocks which makes them wear fast.

A good start on a SKS is to check that block if its soft then polish and case harden it, before it starts to double on u

There are a few places selling aftermarket triggers for the SKS. They don't look much better than the standard triggers. No mention of weights.

Would never right that rifle off..It been in use a long time and has proven itself many many times. Just when I bought I went with the SKS.. Solely based on what I felt was a receiver that all most felt like it rattled in my hands. I use the Chinese SKS for shooting and the Russians are strickly gun safe gueens that will never be fired by me. I will get a better return on these when I sell them then on any other I own..From what I understand First and only other guy to own these was named Stalin and prices have sky rocketed..:D
