Why don't you just admit that you are just like everyone else on this planet?

If it is someone you like making the rude or immature statements you will not have a thing to say about it. BUT if is someone that you can't stand THEN you have a problem with it.

So, you're still going on that provoked/unprovoked thing. I guess we just don't think the same. Why are you able to see that the posting of confidential information was wrong, and against forum rules, and you cannot see the same thing about name calling, which is also wrong and against forum rules.
Even the law recognizes that there's a difference between provocation, and unprovoked aggression - if you can't, then there's nothing I can say. Except that you didn't object to the other DD's UNprovoked namecalling, did you?

This takes me back to my original question to you......why do you defend the name calling, etc., in the name of so-called provocation, when it's one of your "buddies"? Seems to me that wrong is wrong, no matter who is involved......but maybe we just don't think the same.
"So called provocation"? That's as large an understatement as I've seen in quite some time, ok?
Just as the law recognizes mitigating factors when determining the severity of an offense [even killing someone is acceptable, in self defense], so must we all.

But there's still that pesky little thing called forum rules........

Nope - if it's provoked, I am more tolerant, just as the law is, because it makes sense to me.

Why can't YOU admit that your unprovoked comments were wrong?

Well at least I don't spend more than 90% of my time in the soapbox. actually that 90% is a little low.

The reason I am posting this, is because a lot of what she has said in the public arena are the things that we regularly see repeated here in the soapbox, conservative radio and Fox News. These are pretty important issues she speaks about and continually rates no higher than a False rating.

As a stepchild of the notoriously liberal St. Petersburg Times, it should come as no surprise that this so-called fact checker has a bias against conservatives that's not too hard to spot if one does a little fact checking on their own.

The American Spectator : PolitiFact's Fixers

Interesting how organizations like this and Media Matters attempt to portray themselves as independant auditors when peeling away just one or two layers of veneer exposes the true nature of the owners and managers of the so-called truth.

I would agree with you to a certain extent but one of the biggest things they do is list their sources and yes they lean a bit to the Left, as you say (whatever that is) but at least you can come to an educated decision on how credible the reporting and research is.

I'm not sure if they are for or against Conservatives as you say, it just may be that certain Politicians (Conservitive or Liberal) need to be looked into more than others and to research some of the things they say.

Hey, if you have another site that has unbiased research I would love for you to share it with me.

How would you know that they are unprovoked ? And I wouldn't read a lot into that "sudsy" thing, because witness actually likes the moniker.:D

Not sure how you would know if I like or dislike your childish nickname for me or not. I think Cheri pointed that out quite well though.

I do have a question though; are you and DieselDiva married? I never really put any thought into it until she was accused of using more than one identity. I then thought.....holy crap, is DoggieDaddy and DieselDiva one? Maybe a cyber cross dresser of some sort?

If you haven't already done so, take a look at www.realclearpolitics.com

They show results from all the major polls and give an overall average of the results. Also articles from both conservative and liberal commentators. Not necessarily a perfect site, but offers some good information.
