Murray got out the good bait last night. So loaded in Durham North Carolina this morning heading for a Monday delivery in Bakersfield California 2600 miles almost all of it on I-40

Thanks! Nice to have a general idea of when a water pump failure can be expected. Sold my last Chevy with 820K miles and original water pump.

That was their 2nd water pump replaced ..
2 guidon(?) replaced .. now praying with (fix)...
All Coil packs & ends changed out ..
Transmission fluid changed multi times ...
Transmission replaced recently ..
The (2) fan system replaced twice..
And 1 rear axle if my memory is correct...

A few years ago I saw an old dude in a nice, original 66 Chevy PU. In Ontario Ca.
Owning one is on my bucket list.
Drove over and talked to him.
He had bought it new.
50 years prior !

! Fortunately, I replaced my engine with a Coast Guard approved one.Seriously, I think having a trusted dealer, like BillG has in Milwaukee, is all the difference. He has a good contact in service and they what he needs, only what he needs, at a fair price. Others (of us) take it up the arse from the other dealers

One last issue to deal with: need a PA inspection. Would be nice if Pennsylvania accepted other states’ inspections, but nooo

After reading that transit list, I probably shouldn't have taken myself out of service because my drivebelt fell off (45 min in the dark, at the side of the road, in a snowstorm lying in an icy salty puddle while saltwater dripped in my eyes and the big rigs coated my body with fresh slush)
Man I was furious. Now dry and warm, sending "this is my last delivery until further notice" to Dispatch seems kinda silly

. First it was replace everything you could on the Sprinter, then it was full steam ahead on Crypto Currency, now back to crawling under the Sprinter. The lengths you'll go to to not haul freight.
