Ever got it? What a bummer, do nothing wrong except eat at an establishment that let the Germs grow.

If one ever orders food, and it comes back cold, mildly warm. DO NOT EAT IT. This is where the Germs can grow, between 40F and 140F anythihng below this or above these temps is safe.

I have learned this the hard way and was able to have a long talk with a manager after I called in the next day and he was able to explaine what, why, how, etc... People get sick.

Also if you do get sick, call in like I did. They want to know, and they made it almost worth my while for calling in but not for being imprisioned to a bathroom. In our rush, rush, world, and food cost = only the bottom line we are more prone to this happeneing.

Stand up, bring it to the managers attention, if you get no satisfaction crawl your way to the top. There bottom line should not effect my health or yours.

Also call the local health inspector or the health department of the city or county right after you call the manager. Let them know you are sick and they may inspect the place.

Food poisoning...
How many have had it..????
How many want it again...!!!!
I've asked these questions many times in my
past career as an EMS instructor.

What I've learned is to have activated charcoal capsules available.
I always carry them on the road.
I've used them and given them to family members.
They are available at a health food store/web-site.

As soon as you feel the beginning cramps of a "severe stomach event"
take the capsules... following the directions on the bottle.

They work..!!!!
(and I've ALWAYS appreciated that..!!! :) )

Be Well and Be Safe.

I got food pois. about 7-8 days ago. I will tell you it was at a Flying J stop in Illinois.
After a few days I did contact the store manager and he refused to believe what had happened. Called corporate and all they said is that their stops are inspected daily by the general managers and they said sorry.
I did contact the local health board and here is the shocker! The truck stops (at least in Illinois) are in a different classification than actual restuarants and are NOT held to the same standards.
They do get inspected, not as often and not on any set schedule, as restuarants.
Man I am done eating even a hot dog from these places!

Yep, that is the reason I have that stance I spoke of. I never have bought fuel from them, now, because of this it means no money to them at all. I use them only for a dump site and a toilet because that is all they are in my mind!
