Well, I was half right. They merged the two programs into the Driver Payback program. But, they made an allowance for expediters (albeit it a lame, half-аssed allowance that few will be able to use, so I was more than half right, 3/4 right).
Loyalty FAQs - Home
Effective September 1st, Pilot Flying J will have a merged loyalty program. The Flying J Frequent Fueler card will function as a Driver Payback card.
1.
What will happen to the Flying J Frequent Fueler program? The Frequent Fueler Program will be discontinued on August 31, 2010. Until the program is discontinued, you should continue to use the program and its benefits. None of your accrued benefits will be lost when the program comes to an end. All of your accrued but unredeemed benefits will be transferred to your new membership in the Driver Payback Program.
- For every 1/100 of a Frequent Fueler Point you have in your account as of August 31, 2010, you will receive one Driver Payback point. Each Driver Payback point is equal to 1 cent in retail value.
- For each unredeemed Frequent Fueler shower credit you have on balance as of August 31, 2010 in your account, you will receive one Driver Payback shower credit good for five (5) days.
- Courtesy cups will be handed out for fueling transactions to replace drink credits.
You need to do nothing at all to become a Driver Payback member – you will be automatically enrolled in the program and can use the Frequent Fueler Card you now carry to accrue and redeem benefits in Driver Payback.
3.
Can I still use my Frequent Fueler points, shower and drink credits? Until the Frequent Fueler program is discontinued on August 31, 2010, you can use the program and its benefits as you always have at all Flying J locations.
4.
Can I still accrue points, shower and drink credits at Flying J? Until the Frequent Fueler program is discontinued on August 31, 2010, you can accrue points, shower and drink credits as you always have at all Flying J locations.
7.
I belong to both Flying J Frequent Fueler and Pilot Travel Centers’ Driver Payback programs; can I play in both programs? Until August 31, you can play in both programs. Frequent Fueler will be discontinued on August 31, 2010 after which all current Frequent Fueler members and Driver Payback members will be members only in the Driver Payback Program.
If you carry a Frequent Fueler card and a Driver Payback card, starting September 1, 2010, you can transfer all of your accrued points and shower credits to one card by using a Pilot Travel Center Driver Payback Kiosk. Using one card helps you earn and redeem points and shower credits faster.
So after Sept 1, transfer and combine all points onto one card or the other, doesn't matter which, and then use that card at all locations.
8.
Should I keep my Frequent Fueler Card? If Flying J continues to be a fuel and services stop for you, yes, you should keep your Frequent Fueler card now and even after the Frequent Fueler Program is discontinued. Once the Frequent Fueler program is discontinued and you are automatically enrolled in the Driver Payback program, you will continue to use your Frequent Fueler card to accrue and redeem Driver Payback benefits. There is no need to get another member card.
(The Frequent Fueler card becomes a Driver Payback card)
9.
Should I keep my Driver Payback Card? If Pilot will continue to be one of your fuel and services stops, yes, you should keep your Driver Payback card.
If, however, you are carrying a Frequent Fueler card and a Driver Payback card and you use both of them, starting September 1, 2010 you can transfer one card’s accrued benefits onto the other card. You can stop at any Pilot Travel Center location and use a member kiosk to transfer benefits from one card to another. By using only one card, you will accrue and redeem benefits faster.
14.

16.
How can I redeem Driver Payback points? Starting September 1, 2010, Driver payback points will be stored on your membership card and can be redeemed
instantly for products and services at all Pilot Flying J locations and participating restaurants. You must present your membership card to redeem your points. Excluded products include: tobacco, lottery, alcohol and fuel.
(that means that however many points you have on the Driver Payback card, it's however many pennies you have on there. 1000 points equals $10, 350 points is $3.50, and you can use the Driver payback card as cash at the register for anything except the excluded products)
17. How do I earn shower credits in the Driver Payback Program? Starting September 1, 2010, you earn one (1/2) free shower with the purchase of 25 to 49 gallons of diesel fuel (1) free shower with the purchase of 50 gallons or more of diesel fuel at all Pilot Flying J locations. Shower credits are good for five (5) days and you must have your membership card to earn and redeem your showers.
No gasoline for shower credit. Also, 25 gallons? Really? Other than me, who puts 25 gallons in very often? 15 gallons at the J was particularly generous, so I can see why they don't want to go down that far. But at least take it down to 20 gallons. Sheesh. The TA is 50 gallons, but it's a cumulative 50 gallons, so it beats this one up.
There is a brochure (Click HERE) that in the fine print on the lower left corner of page 2, it says specifically NO MORE 1/2 shower credit for gasoline purchases, and in the top-middle of page One, it states that 1/2 shower credit for gas purchases, among other things, will no longer be part of the program.
18.
Will I still receive drink credits for fuel purchases at Flying J locations? No. But Starting September 1, 2010,
you will be given a courtesy drink cup for any diesel fuel purchase.
Again, no gasoline. Pilot never has liked vans much.
19.
Will my Frequent Fueler card work as a pump start card? Starting September 1, 2010 your Frequent Fueler card will no longer work as a pump start card for diesel, propane or gas at any of the Pilot Flying J locations.

Will I still receive 15 minutes of free Internet access at Flying J locations each week? No. Starting September 1, 2010, Internet access can be purchased online @
www.pilottravelcenters.com
22.
Can I still use my Frequent Fueler card as a caller card at Driver Services kiosks? No. Starting September 1, 2010, you will no longer be able to use your member card as a calling card.
23.
Can I still use my PDCA Frequent Fueler Moneycard MasterCard as a loyalty card? No. Starting September 1, 2010, you will no longer be able to use your PDCA card as a loyalty card.
