Recently on a trip home I pulled into a rest area along I -75 near Bay City michigan. I noticed that there was one spot left for a truck, so I parked my p/u and travel trailer on the car side. I needed to take a break and the car side was empty.
upon returning to my vehicle I noticed the state Police at my truck. The tropper informed me that I was parked on the wrong side and that I should move.
I explained to him that I felt it better to save the one spot for the large trucker that might need a space and that my intention was to leave in just a few minutes.
The state Tropper paused for a moment and then said " that is very thoughtfull and that I made the right choice".
Looking back at it, It was good to see the troppers drive through the rest stop at 1:30 in the morning.
