Flying J heated fuel .

I've bought the last 4 loads of fuel at another chain and my mpg is no different than using J fuel. The only thing that went down was my gal. per dollar since the other chain costs more. At least for me, buying at the J is the lowest cpm.

The way I understand it. You are not really going to get less mpg. But rather you are getting less volume for your money. Heated fuel expands giving it more volume when dispensed from the pump. But when it cools it shrinks. Hence, you are not really getting a true gallon of fuel. It is ripping you off like 2% of a gallon.
