Is it against any rules to mention a fleet owners name. I was given a name to contact if i was interested in driving a CV. my source is very reliable, but i was just courious if any of you drive for him?

I, Would actual ask owner if he did not mind if you put his name out there. Also ask him to give you a few drivers names that work for him or her if he or she is and up front person and owner he or she would ask there drivers if thats O.K. I personaly would not put my owners or anyone I was looking at as a owner there is other ways of obtaining this info.

I didn't see any rules that prohibit posting a business or DBA name or asking a legit question about the person - this is business isn't it?

Maybe Lawrence or Dreamer can chime in to give us the correct info.

DaveKC is a fleet owner...everyone knows that...
Wingnut is a fleet owner...

I can't see any foul...especially when they are a legit business as Greg pointed out...

I don't have any problem with my name being asked, but for what this member is requesting, he would be better served to talk to the fleet owner and get past and current drivers numbers straight from the fleet owner to make a assessment. As I have said before, if they refuse that information, there is likely a reason. Not usually a good one either.

Yea your better off asking for some of the phone numbers of his drivers that drive for him now and the ones that did drive for him. I'm sure you can get the info your looking for from the drivers. Good luck

<hehe> Kind of like the other way around where the employer asks you for references.. you're not going to give the bad ones.. but if you can't come up with ANY good ones, there might be an issue there.
