Pretty good bet Panther isn't going to put a 1800 mile straight through load on a solo unless there is a sleep period in it. I agree with the others that is totally irresponsible to have someone solo running something like that without a break regardless of the vehicle size.
As for board positions, they don't exist as I believe I have posted before. Boards are way too big for it to have any value. The closer you are to the freight the better the opportunities.
As for first outs, they are generally a invitation to recieve a load that no one wants, a hazmat (most brokers don't do hazmat), or a charity run that isn't getting covered off their broker board. That is why we pay little attention to either one.

Yes ,you right. But in this case ,why Panther still have the board positions? Just to confuse drivers? Why they changed the size of the boards? For example Cincinatti ,Lexington and Lousville are in the same board! I just don't understand why Panther wants to create confusing ,frustrations in the drivers....

The 2 or 3 logbooks refers to trucks [and how they do it is beyond me - I have enough with just one, lol], though vans must log if hauling hazmat.

We talk about the cargo vans here. He said "Yes, I'm talking about a cargo van "....I still found it confusing...:)

My point is that some truck drivers (in HOS regulated trucks) run multiple log books so they can accept an 1800 mile or whatever load illegally. I know vans don't log but my point is that no truck size should have a single transit load anywhere near the 1800 miles you mentioned, whether van or truck.

It is cheaper. That way they don't have to field calls on a constant basis regarding board postions. You gave the perfect example. You could be on the Lexington board at number one with ten trucks on that board and one of the ten is in Cincy and the others in Lexington. A load comes up in Cincy. Guess which one they are calling first? It won't be the ones in Lexington unless the Cincy truck passes on it.
