Finding the right opportunity to go back into expediting

I was driving expediting since 2006 but after last owner issues I got out. Well I am missing the open road and the driving but I there is a dilema. I am a reptile enthuisants and keep reptiles. Taking them on the road isn't a good idea but trying to find a way to keep reptiles and to be able to drive over the open road. I do live in a good freight area and I know limited myself is not good. Also wonder if there is really dedicated expediting routes in a Sprinter or cargo van. I am looking into other things then expediting but am looking for any options to fulfil both desires. Keep reptiles and drive. Major dilema.

You joined EO in 2008 and this is your first post . . . WOW . . . where ya been hiding?

I don't think dedicated routes would be considered expediting. Sounds like you may be better off looking into a courier service.

Where do you live ? Iron Mountain, Ceva,Fedex Ground, are places you may be able to drive and still be home as needed. Not OTR,but work.

I live in the Chicago region and I currently work for Fed Ex, but it not what I expected. Issue with the contractor I work for and I might not have a job soon. Just being proactive just in case I lose my job. I rather drive open road then stop and go stuff.

Well I don't have a issue with the contractor. Contractor and Fed Ex has issues and I drive his route and he is going to sell the route so my job is up in the air.
