Does anyone know how to find a dentist while on the road?
I am going to try the Iowa 80 if I can make it there during business hours. If not I need to find one that will take me Thursday or Friday. I have a crown on a post on my front tooth that came out and I need to have it re cemented. No pain, but I look like a North Florida Redneck.:(

If you have a problem finding one they sell temporary cement in drug stores and I believe WalMart.

When we were in Nogales AZ I googled dental clinics, checked their reviews, and found one that got me in and out in a half hour. great place.

Where are you at right now?

When Diane got her braces done and we were seeing the dentists a lot, and they knew about our life on the road, they said to call them if we ever needed to see a dentist on the road and they would hook us up. We never did so but they seemed to have some sort of network for referrals. You might try calling your dentist at home for ideas.

Mr. A, didn't you fly your bride home to a Dentist a few years ago?. Then get a car load of grief on here for doing it?.

We flew Diane home and back to the truck several times to see her dentists while she was having braces work done. I don't remember getting any grief for it.

A mostly off-topic story if I may:

We were once on a cross-country load that took us close to the dentist office and Diane was due to have her braces adjusted. It worked out great as we were able to get an appointment. I waited in the truck while Diane went in.

The dentist was very interested in the truck and, at Diane's invitation, he came out for a truck tour which I gave. At one point he was sitting in the driver's seat and I stood along side. With both hands on the wheel, he turned, looked up at me and said with a smile, "I've always wanted to be a trucker."

I smiled back, nodded, and thought to myself, "I've never wanted to be a dentist."

Driving felt particularly good that day. We are blessed to be doing work we love.

Get some super glue and have a fellow trucker glue it back in :D

You're joking, right? But I actually did it, and even though my dentist thought it was hilarious too, it worked! [Beats looking like any kind of redneck....]:D

I got it fixed at the Iowa 80. The dentist there did a better job fitting it then my local dentist.
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful again.:p:eek:
