After nearly over a month of research and several calls and emails , I have finally landed my first expedite job, and will be attending orientation on Monday. The EO forums have really helped me alot. Wish me luck!!

Good luck. Be patient. There may be a little bit of a learning curve.
If you like doing this, after awhile you'll love doing it.

I am sure I will have plenty of questions for awhile. I will try not to bombard you guys with too many at once

Lesson one: Don't believe everything you hear.
Talking to other TriState drivers will be good.
I think trading phone numbers in orientation is good. You can learn off of each other's successes and mistakes.
You'll have both.
This isn't rocket science.

Alot of early success comes from luck.

Once you figure things out you'll make your own good luck.

Many companies focus on the age of the vehicle rather than the actual vehicle, I will take a well maintained '01 over a poorly maintained '05 every time.

It can be a little political over there. Keep everything positive in your conversations and you'll do well. Good company, but one must always realize.....your a driver, and the O/O will be looked after.

Give ground when you think it's best.....run like heck when you get to drive; safely, of course. :) Expedite (to me) is much about timing, and little about speed. Get a jump on things, look ahead, and always prepare to run, after you complete a run.

Congrats! And good luck.

you'll enjoy driving for T-State. I was with them for 3 yrs. in a straight. Would still be with them if my owner hadn't pulled his trucks over something I considered at the time as pretty trivial. For the most part, and you'll learn this quickly, the dispatchers do all they can to keep you moving. As with all companies there are the good, the bad, and the ugly. Avoid the ugly, tolerate the bad and work with the good. Everything will work out. keep us posted on how your making it..........Enjoy the ride :)
