Final Days for Kenosha Eng Plant

I dropped here this morning and was told they are about 20 days from closing..I heard long ago that they where done this year.
I don't like seeing anyone lose their jobs but walking out of there and back to my truck made me think whether it was self inflicted when ya put UAW in front of the labor force or whether this was just a corp decision due to other reasons. Guy on loading dock stated most ppl will relocate to the Detroit area so most of them will still be employed. I cant imagine having to leave WI. for a life in Detroit:eek:
Heres another place we can pull off our GPS favorites:(

Well I thought they closed that plant a long time ago.

It really sounds odd, relocation to detroit. A lot of people here are waiting for work and here come more from outside to take their "jobs".

there is a chrysler owned GEMA Engine plant in Dundee Michgan that is expanding....someone in Kenosha would probably consider Dundee closed enough to detroit to call it that....

And "their" jobs!?!? A bit of "entitlement" there is there....

Yes their jobs. many of them don't look at the wisconsin plant as part of the original chrysler mess, thats AMC.

With so many unemployed here, so many not working from Chrysler, maybe it is a joke that the company will pay for workers outside the state to come here to live after we gave them so much in tax incentives and breaks.

Nevertheless, maybe Fiat will close these plants and move everything to Mexico.

By the way the Fiat 500 is a neat car to drive.

"their jobs" kind of like the jobs that went from AM Axle in Detroit to Am Axle in Three Rivers...they wouldn't take anymore concessions, so they jo longer have "jobs' and they are no longer "entitled" to any "jobs" that might go into that plant if they decide to bring any more at a LOWER wage...

"their jobs"....

that plant closing was a shocker to the state and the union. originally it was listed as a fiat survivor. then recanted. thats or great senator paul ryan for ya. running for prez and too busy to keep his constituents working. hope he gets run out.----enough soapbox now back to the regularly scheduled thread.
