Charlee , I appreciate your post because it lets me know how to explain what I'm trying to get at . Yes , men cuss , women cuss , and I do on occasion also . But most of us pretty much admit we know the language is inappropriate because we refrain from using it in the presence of certain individuals or groups . That is done out of respect . So to use the language directed at a certain group is showing disrepect .You are letting that group know they aren't worthy of respect you would show others . I don't think any less of a person that cusses unless they do so in public . Should we have a poll of how members regard a person cussing in public ? Are they regarded with less respect , more respect , or does it not matter . Lang writes poorly . The whole motivation for that article was she saw Montoya in a chewing gum commercial and she was awed by the fact Montoya said nobody tells him what to do . It's just a commercial , for God's sake ! Is she that gullible ? NASCAR has volumes of regulations telling Montoya what to do . Montoya would never win a race if he didn't do what experienced drivers and his crew chief tell him what to do . There is a lot positive to be written about Montoya . He recently visited his native country and makes regular contributions to help people there . Lang just wasted space with her article .
I wasn't aware so many people view fuel stops as a dens of iniquity to be categorized with strip clubs and casinos . Expect entering one to be an experience of self degradation . Interesting , although we have all seen locations that deserve to be categorized that way .
