Leo has had some requests from some members for the No Banter Location thread....fair is fair...

What is your thoughts on this..?

One for location only and one for banter seems well different..

I think it's a great idea. The membership banters in just about every other forum here so it would be nice to be able to just read down through the thread to see where everyone is.

Also, maybe you should consider breaking into shorter time spans, a month seems a little long with this many members...just a thought.

I thought Leo's idea was a good one and a thread I would have enjoyed scrolling through. We always enjoy getting to meet EO members face to face but the location thread is out of hand and not worth scrolling through to see who is where. I know some of you are on a quest for post count but others such as myself would rather get to the point and not read the one line replies that make no sense.

I would like to see Leo's thread stand and any banter removed from the thread.

To me, in my mind, it seems a little rude and crabby.

It's kind of like saying.. hey I only asked you for a one-word-answer as to which truckstop you prefer, but you idiot, you went and added in your two cents, which I'm totally not interested in!

OTOH, I can see why people might want that info at a glance. I wonder if the developers could make a special place to add location only, for those that want to participate. Kind of like a poll type of thing, but instead of just having the ability to tick a box, you have the ability to add up to 20 characters or something. Not being a web developer, I don't now if something like that is possible. If not, I guess we just need to accept that we can't always control people to do exactly as we wish.

Mornin Ken!! I just finished my second cup, how about you? Hey, lighten up. It won't hurt to allow those who want this new location only thread to have it. We can banter on everywhere else. Nothing to do with liberal, in fact, being polite is the proper "conservative" thing to do!! So there!

Why not just make an announcement that the location thread will now be monitored for banter and any banter will be removed and just leave location ?

Why not DO YOUR JOBS and enforce the rules? Instead of creating something that makes you guys (mods) life easy.

BTW..I think it is a good idea...and should be at most a week long....

As to making our "mod jobs" easier, no one should HAVE to remove banter. It is always easier, and better, for everyone to just show a bit of respect for the wishes of others. We don't need rules that need enforced. This one is a no brainer. Leo's thread hurts no one. It serves a purpose that many of our members want. Surely we can just behave in that ONE thread.

Why would it be a concern to you? you never or seldom post where ya are....and the DD's also never post a location....

I could go back 5 years and delete every post I ever made...

I don't give a shoot about post count....and I never said I did...
