I shared breakfast this morning with a former FedEx Custom Critical team who Diane and I got to know when we and they leased our trucks to that carrier. We went to one carrier. They went to another.

It was nice to visit, talk shop, compare notes, exchange information, etc. As former FDCC contractors, we had in common the experience of leaving that carrier and moving on to something new. We talked about why we left, what we missed, how things were going with our new carriers and the future.

It felt good to chat like this and got me to wondering if it would be worth the effort to create a way for former FDCC contractors to stay in touch on an ongoing basis.

Your thoughts?

will there be any bashing ??:eek:

Not as much as you might think, if today's conversation is any indication. We certainly could have gone down that path but whatever issues we had with the company got resolved when we left. Emotions related to those issues may remain raw, but other topics were of greater interest.

Also note that not everyone who leaves FDCC leaves unhappy. Many have left with positive feelings and for reasons having nothing to do with the company.

Prolly. But only if you do the bashing.

Actually, my time with the Fed was short. Many of my memorys were good. Not owning those memorys to the Fed......but, with their predecesor Roberts. Learned a lot with the two......like what to do, and what not to do. The what not to do IS important stuff.

I certainly wouldn't fit into this group never working for the Fed, but most anytime you can draw a group of people together that have a common interest and even a bond, it can be a great time. Will there be differences of opinin? Sur, but t doesn't ave to degenerate into "bashing"...heck most of s have gone to ur highschool reunions and i am almost certain that we all had ill experiences there at times, but its fun to meet those old friends and enjoy the stories....

Do for it people, while Phil put the idea out there, anyone can run with it and make it happen..you all are a rather arge and diverse group, enjoy each others exeriences and the exchange of friendships....

Great Idea Phil....:)
