FedEx Changes Deadhead pay and FSC

OK I hear three different things here and want to know what is up with;

A reduction or elimination of the NY compensation (like I really get this anyway)

If someone can tell me where I can get a list of accesorial fees other than calling my CC (the one change I do not like at all)

And why isn't this O/O committee talked about. I mean I have heard this a couple times but you fill in the blanks.....

Will these changes work for me? I don't know but the letter I got yesterday said "We have heard you, now we are acting!" makes me wonder because I haven't really said anything!!

I guess when this is all put into play i will see how bad or good it will actualy work for me, as I am only now getting my expenses and budgets in line. The last thing I want is for my revenue to fall. Had it explained by my CC and now going thru the information packet.

And I to would like to know of what community of drivers gives the pulse of us all?

All the money charged from the FSC will be put into a Kitty and paided out with this Program. That was Per the VP. I was at FedEx when this was told to everyone. I went to FedEx today and talked to someone about this and was told he would call a few other owner operators to see how they fill about this matter.

Greg,

The list of accesorial fees was in our packet we got from FCC that explained the program and had the contract changes in it.

OK I will reach over to my temp desk (aka my cat) and see what I have in the package.

cover letter - check
two copies of the contract - check
fuel surcharge helper - check
return envolope - check
Furball - check
accessorial fee list - nope

Maybe it is because I am a van owner?

I believe that an EO Moderator is on the Fed EX CC Contractor's Advisory Committee. Perhaps he will step forward and provide some insight as to how we were heard in implementing the FSC changes. Apparently from some of the comments, not everyone was heard or asked.

FLEET OWNER FEDEXCC 9YRS You can find out all the pertinent info by just taking some of your past loads off the pay sheet and applying the new pay scale to it and make your own judgement..that way you will not have to guess what is truck stop talk and what is true. As far as wanting to know about our current f/s being cut to 58&, thats a fact that came from Scott McCants..also check what % of your truck rev is currently f/s---If that don't wake you up, nothing will--

If that is accurate, they should be ashamed to even put that on the table with the current fuel prices. It would be interesting to see how they justify only paying 58 percent of the FSC.

It sounds like your all for the changes in FSC and DH. Is it possible that you could be one of the FedEx CC committy members?

I wouldn't think this will happen unless FedEx wants to waste money on a program to tie together services.

Or if they are trying to solidify their market position, and value for a future buyout?

Naw I think a lot are just waiting till Monday when everyone is back from the truck show in Dallas. That's what I think. We have some of our drivers put in there notice because of this. Going to try to get them to stay and see what happens with this program. I was told today that they was calling some owners and to see how they feel about this program. I'm sure this can be handled. Time will tell.
