So if I understand this you can't use the card at the two largest truck stop chains in the country?

Hawk: which TS guides list the cards accepted? I've been trying to find a list of places that accept ComData, and no one seems to know of one - not even ComData!x(
I threw out the TS guides, when I got 'The Next Exit', but it doesn't list accepted payment methods.

I wonder how much it will save Fed-ex, If I understand it correctly when you can't fuel at the major T/S chains and get some goofy fuel at one of the Mom and Pop fuel points in the winter. Or how much it cost the O/O for being pushed to use Hot Fuel from one of the worst offenders the "J"

Or for that matter, when you need to use a Pilot, TA/ Petro, Loves. And go in while it's ten below zero.

1. See if the ATM works.
2. Get cash.
3. Get in fuel counter line.
4. Give all the info Trk. #, company name, No the one out of Green, OH.
5. Give them your Drivers Lic.
6. Go back out into the snow and fuel.
7. Go back and get in the fuel desk line.
8. Pay your bill.
9. get your drivers lic. back.
10. Go the you know what down the road.

Hope that fifty cents does some ##### good.

More yet? Does this mean you lose your discount at 3/4 of the national chains. hum 4 or 5 cents per gallon, well at least you can now use the J's hot fuel.

Hawk, the TAB Bank debit account is a checking account. You can get your settlements direct deposited.

Yes Jim, its PIA to have to change ones banking arrangements and if it saves drivers money in the end its a good thing...they'll work out the bugs...they always do...

Cheri... the next exit is well and good. But if you need to know what cards are accepted where, you need a truckstop guide. Having both is nice.

Jim... the owner I run for gave us a TCH card. We have to plan our trips and know where we're going to fuel before (or during) the trip. If there are no Js on route, I find another t/s that takes TCH, or pay cash at one that doesn't take TCH.

Fueling is not a big deal in our truck. Just make sure you have some extra cash on hand to make a fuel purchase, if necessary.

Ok, I know what 'hot fuel' is, but can anyone recommend which TS guide I should get? I don't remember seeing any that included fuel cards accepted.

I can't remember the name of it, since I'm not near my truck. But it's the most popular one at the truckstops, and they also have an RV edition. At the legend of each page, to the right, they show different fuel cards and cheks, and which truckstop takes which card.
